Satan is mostly known as the Sun activator of Fundex. With his Drought ability, he can support his team with a permanent sunny day, and also take advantage of it himself, thanks to his very high 140 and 135 in offensive stats, combined with Flame Charge, Swords Dance and Nasty Plot, and he can also take Physical hits very well, boasting 158/145 HP/Defense. However, his low Special Defense and Speed can be a letdown; it needs Flame Charge to be a useful attacker, and even then Special moves can lead to his downfall.

The optimal sweeping set for Satan. Moxie can be used over Drought if you don't want sun for your team. If he manages to get in Flame Charge and Swords Dance, feel free to already say gg. Sacred Fire will burn nearly any opponent from the battlefield after one boost, and it has a 50% chance to burn on top of that, boosting Satan's already immense Physical bulk. Earthquake is for the pesky Olngact with his Flash Fire ability, and other Fire resists. Protect can also be ran over Sacred Fire because you think Flame Charge is enough for Fire offense and want a "healing move" in your set.

Satan can run a Choice Scarf to get rid of his low Speed. Sacred Fire is of course your main STAB, while Earthquake hits other Fire types hard, Wild Charge Water types, and Outrage Dragon types. With an Adamant nature, Satan hits 359 Speed, and with a Jolly nature he hits 393 Speed. With a Choice Band instead, Satan simply deals massive damage to any possible opponent, but remains slow.

Using Bulk Up Satan turns into a very dangerous Physical tank. With maximum HP and Special Defense investment, Satan is very nicely able to take hits. Sacred Fire and Earthquake are your main attacks, like on the first set, while Protect provides additional Leftovers healing.
Other Options
Nasty Plot, Dragon Tail, Ice Punch, Megahorn, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Superpower
Nasty Plot can be used with a Special set, since Satan also has a really nice 135 Special Attack next to his 140 Attack. Fire Blast / Flamethrower would be your main attack, together with Earth Power for coverage.
Dragon Tail is an option to deal passive damage with Satan if you have entry hazards down.
Megahorn, Stone Edge and Superpower are three more physical attacks Satan can run.
Sucker Punch is a priority move Satan gets.
Checks and Counters
Changing the weather is the main counter to Satan, which is best done with Soviet Mudkip, because he will turn Water attacks into something very dangerous for Satan. Waterfall will do a lot of damage to Satan even though he has great Physical defense. Soviet Mudkip will also make Satan prone to switch out, which will let the foe in a dilemma when Satan has been boosted a lot. If you can't change the weather, just use your strongest Special attacks against him, or priority if his Speed has been boosted.
