    Rick Roll
    Analysis: Rick Roll 3089741221

    Never gonna give you up
    Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
    Never gonna make you cry
    Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

    Type: Analysis: Rick Roll 874442478
    HP: 90
    Attack: 90
    Defense: 90
    Sp.Attack: 90
    Sp.Defense: 90
    Speed: 90
Ability: Own Tempo / Soundproof / Imposter
    Tier: Fundex UU

Rick Roll is essentially the Ditto of Fundex; without Imposter, easy to predict and easy to counter. With Imposter, one of the, if not the best revenge killer in the metagame.

"Never Gonna Give You Up" (Revenge Killer)
Rick Roll (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Imposter
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hyper Voice
    - Hidden Power [Ghost]
    - Toxic
    - Rest / Hyper Beam

This is the extent of Rick Roll's movepool. However, due to Imposter, the only reason Rick Roll will actually use his movepool is if he comes in against a Substitute or a Tacgnol with Illusion up. If either of those things actually happen, then Hyper Voice is Rick Roll's best choice of a special move, with Hidden Power Ghost hitting the Ghosts that can take Hyper Voice all day. Toxic can wear down walls, simple enough. Rest can restore some of Rick Roll's HP (but sadly, it can rarely be used), while Hyper Beam can deal quite a bit of damage.

"Never Gonna Let You Down" (Sweep Turner-Arounder)
Rick Roll (M) @ Expert Belt / Life Orb / Choice Scarf / Focus Sash / Air Balloon / ...
    Trait: Imposter
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hyper Voice
    - Hidden Power [Ghost]
    - Toxic
    - Rest / Hyper Beam

Exact same moveset, different item. Rick Roll can also be used to turn around sweeps, and can do a rather good job of it, too. Expert Belt is helpful if the 'mon Rick Roll's transformed into has excellent coverage, Life Orb can be used for more damage, Focus Sash is if the 'mon Rick Roll needs to counter is rather frail, Air Balloon for the Ground immunity, etc.

    Checks and Counters

Countering Rick Roll can be both easy and hard, based on what 'mon he's transformed into and what moves it has. There is no "hard counter" to Rick Roll, though Illusion Tacgnol checks Rick Roll, as Illusion blocks Transform and Imposter. If the 'mon Rick Roll is transformed into has super-effective coverage on itself, then you can use that to your advantage as well.
