Sanae here has some decent bulk and a great typing, with only Bug-, Poison- and Flying-Type attacks being super-effective against her. The main reason you'd use Sanae over other bulky fundexmon is due to her Signature move, Miracle Fruit. Miracle Fruit works like Acupressure, but gives the user a 25% heal alongside the stat boost. It also has a chance to raise evasion for hax.

This set is to be used in rain. Hurricane with Serene Grace has a 60% chance of confusion, and always hits in rain. The main job of Sanae here is to set up a Substitute and to spam Miracle Fruit to get useful Stat boosts and heal off the damage from Substitute. This set is Physically bulky, but it can go Specially bulky if you want to. Surf is a strong, reliable STAB boosted by the rain.

This set pretty much writes itself. Surf is a strong STAB move. Energy Ball has a 20% chance of lowering Sp Def with Serene Grace, whilst Giga Drain is useful for healing. Ice Beam has a 20% chance of healing, and hits Kanako and Ryuuguu hard. Hidden Power Fire rounds of the set for decent damage against Hibachi. Sanae isn't fast enough to put Speed EVs to good use, so a bulky spread is used instead.

60% CHANCE OF SCALD BURN. 'NUFF SAID. Alright then. Bulky Sanae with Status and Stall. Not much else to be said, really. Choose between 50% heal and 25% heal + Stat boost.
Checks and Counters
Satan is a big counter. Drought weakens Surf, reduces hit chance of Hurricane and only helps Synthesis sets. Utsuho is strong enough to OHKO Sanae, except in rain. Hibachi can come in on everything not called Scald/HP Fire (Hibachi #2 doesn't mind a Scald). Marisa outspeeds and can beat Sanae with Hurricane/Aeroblast, only having to watch out for Ice Beam/Rain boosted Surf. The King is a nice switch in on Sanae, not taking much damage from her moves and has Magic Guard to protect from Status.
