Dreams of an Absolution
This team is normally made for servers with the Dream World tier. I have recently made a new Dream World OU team, that is very good if I do say so myself. You all know that I absolutely without a doubt love Dream World and all of its inhabitants. Now, I've been needing to make a new team, and I got tired of making/using hail teams for a while. This team basically starts out like my last Dream World team did, but I'll get to that in a few. Now, onto the team!
The team at first eyesight.
The team in depth:
(M) @ Shed Shell
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Swords Dance
- Spore
This is how my last Dream World team started. Breloom sets up Spore, then use one or two Swords Dance then fire away with Mach Punch or Bullet Seed. With the speed Breloom has, it is normally going to use Spore first, unless said pokemon has a scarf or outclasses its speed. Giving the boost from the technician ability, Bullet Seed (with a +2 from Swords Dance) would deal a fair good amount of damage, and since it is a multiple time attacking move, it can normally OHKO or 2HKO any regular pokemon (meaning pokemon that aren't bulky with a high defense). Mach Punch with a +2 boost with technician should strike fear into Heatrans and other steel types. I chose Shed Shell to get rid of any status problems that could be inflicted onto Breloom (even if it is only once). So yeah, that's all there is to say about Breloom.
Next up, my regal snake
(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Contrary
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Giga Drain
This happens to be one of my favorite Dream World pokemon. It is so scary with the Contrary ability. I couldn't find a good set for Serperior, so this is basically what I tried by ear. It worked for a bit, but I'm still not sure about it. But when I see how bad it is, I WILL change it. Serperior has absolutely amazing speed, with its moderately high special attack, Contrary with Leaf Storm makes it a threat to be dealt with. I've actually made someone not like me for a bit because of the ability (but she doesn't anymore, so that's good :P). Leaf Storm is Serperior's STAB move due to Contrary. HP Rock is to deal with Ice types, Flying types, and Fire types. Leech Seed to give me some life back, along with Leftovers so I get a bit more back than I normally would. Giga Drain for even MORE HP back, so I think this would be a pretty okay set.
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Download
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- U-turn
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
I swore to myself I would never use Genesect. However, after seeing the way others can utilize the speed and power of Genesect, I decided I would give him a try. After using him, I've seen what others have seen when they use him. It has amazing Speed and amazing Special Attack. With Download, and the opposing pokemon's ability, I might even get more Special attack. U-turn is to gain momentum against my opponent, Ice Beam for grass and flying types. Thunderbolt for getting rid of Flying and water types. Flamethrower is to get rid of steel types, ice types, grass, and bug types. I think that Genesect is an amazing pokemon for this team, considering its amazing skill and power. Since it is choiced, it is a bit harder to fight with, but it gains amazing speed which is what I'm basically looking for in Genesect.
Now for the Chandelier I own~
(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
This pokemon I kept thinking was uber in either Wifi or Dream World. Probably because it was at one point? I don't know. But now that I know for a fact that it is legal in Dream World OU, I'm going to use it the very best I can. It may have slow speed, but what it lacks in speed, it makes up in ability and Special Attack. I can use Shadow Tag to trap an opposing pokemon, then use Calm Mind to set up (which at +6 it is over 1100 Special attack and somewhere in the 800 in Special Defense). Following that, I can use either Flamethrower or Shadow Ball depending on what the opposing pokemon's typing is. Since Shadow Ball would be the STAB which would be a better choice of move against any pokemon. (ALSO: Thank you Kira Light for this amazing Chandelure set.)
Time for an Informal Pony
@ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ghost]
This pony is something the one of three horses I will ever love (the other two being a Pegasus named BlackJack and the other being the horse from Son of Neptune). I love it's special attack and speed. It has amazing power, sadly, it won't be in Dream World for long D: I'm going to miss this pony. Calm Mind is to set up the Special Attack and its Special Defense, which when added to its other moves would be very very scary. Secret Sword is Keldeo's STAB/Special move. It is also used to take out steel types, and dark types. Hydro Pump for its power strike, which will take out pokemon like Excadrill, and other ground types and rock types. HP Ghost to do away with Psychic type pokemon since they are a try threat against Keldeo.
(M) @ Yache Berry
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
I hated Garchomp. Then when making this team, someone recommended using it, so I said why not. Rough Skin is a good ability. It has a lower speed than the other dragons, but it still has a well balanced speed anyway. Substitute for keeping its health from dropping against other dragon moves and ice moves. Swords Dance to raise attack, Earthquake for STAB, and Dragon Tail for coverage against other pokemon. Rough Skin does extra damage to my opponent, so that's good. When all is set and done, RoughChomp can be very dangerous.
I thank you for taking the time to read this RMT, and I hope you will give it no less. Thank you~
